This meaningful production, organized by the Meskhetian Volunteer Educators Union Association with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, our University, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and Beyruha Association, was created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the exile of Meskhetian Turks in 1944. The play aims to create a strong social awareness in the audience by keeping the historical memory alive on this issue.

While Berat Şahin Beyoğlu, Batuhan Yiğit Atagül, Cem Kaya and Efecan Karakaya, students of Istanbul Medeniyet University Department of Performing Arts, took an active role in the staging process; a professional production team also contributed to the technical and artistic infrastructure of the play. After the premiere, which attracted great attention in Ankara, the theater play is planned to be staged in Istanbul, Bursa and Antalya.
Our university continues its academic and artistic contributions to the cultural and historical heritage of Meskhetian Turks. In 2019, our University hosted the International Symposium “Meskhetian Turks in the 75th Year of the Exile” organized under the chairmanship of our Rector Prof. Dr. Gülfettin Çelik, and in May 2024, it continued its academic support in this field by hosting the International Meskhetian Students Symposium organized by the Meskhetian Volunteer Educators Association (AHGEB).
