Vice Rectors

Born in Rize-Pazar in 1968, Prof. Dr. Yaşar Bülbül graduated from the Department of Economics (English) of the Faculty of Economics at İstanbul University. He earned his master’s and doctoral degrees at Marmara University. He worked as a faculty member at the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Kocaeli University from 2000 to 2010 and at the Department of Economics (English) of the Faculty of Economics at Istanbul University from 2010 to 2016. In 2015-2016, he served as the director of Istanbul University Children’s University Research and Application Center. He was elected as a member of the Higher Education Audit Board in 2016. During his tenure, in 2019, he was appointed as a faculty member at the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Political Sciences at Istanbul Medeniyet University.

He authored the following books: Teknonomi, Teknoloji Tarihinde Osmanlılar, Teknolojinin Ticarileşmesi ve Teknoparklar (co-authored), Demokrasi ve Ekonomi: Müdahalelerin Türkiye’ye Maliyeti (co-authored) and also co-edited Nobel’in İzinde İktisat Kuramının Gelişimi.
