Times Higher Education (THE), a leading institution that evaluates higher education achievements globally, announced the results for the ‘World University Rankings 2022’ in September 2021. Over 1600 universities from 99 countries and regions were included in this year’s list, to which Istanbul Medeniyet University (IMU) has been added for the first time. IMU ranked in the range of 801-1000 among world universities and ranked the 8th among 54 universities in Turkey. Also, in the ‘Citation’ category, IMU ranks the 487th globally and has achieved a great success by becoming the 1st among state universities in Turkey and 2nd amongst all universities in Turkey.
