The 4th Cerebral Palsy Symposium Successfully Completed
“Cerabral Palsy Symposium” organized by the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of our Faculty of Medicine for the 4th time this year was held in our Aşık Paşa Conference Hall on March 7th, Saturday.
The event was hosted by our University and was also supported by the Ministry of Health, the Turkish Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Pediatric Rehabilitation Workgroup. After a short piano recital, it started with the opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Afitap İçağasıoğlu, Symposium Chair and also the Head of our Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Prof. Dr. Resa Aydın, Director of Pediatric Rehabilitation Workgroup. They were followed by an opening speech by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar Bülbül, who emphasized the importance of informative events on cerebral palsy and expressed his happiness to host such events. He then thanked our Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Prof. Dr. Afitap İçağasıoğlu for organizing the event.
The symposium lasted for the entire day and was held in three sessions including “Early Diagnosis and Current Rehabilitative Approaches in Cerebral Palsy”, “Physiotherapy in Cerebral Palsy” and “Other Treatments in Cerebral Palsy”, in which our expert physicians discussed the subject at length.
