The sixth International Mehmet Akif Ersoy Science and Art Awards, which have become a tradition at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, were presented to their recipients at a ceremony held in Burdur on December 22, 2025.

Aiming to bring together Mehmet Akif Ersoy's intellectual and cultural heritage with high-quality works in the fields of science and art, a total of 8 awards were presented in 4 different categories. The Science Category Awards were given in three subcategories: Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences. Within this scope, the Social Sciences Category Award was presented to Prof. Dr. İhsan Fazlıoğlu, Director of the Institute for the History of Science and Professor of Philosophy and Sociology of Science at Istanbul Medeniyet University.
