Rector Prof. Dr. Gülfettin Çelik Meets the Students of Kadıköy Anatolian İmam Hatip High School


Our Rector Prof. Dr. Gülfettin ÇELİK joined the students at a meeting held in Kadıköy Anatolian İmam Hatip High School.

Highlighting the need for students to do the jobs they love, the Rector stated that career choices should not be based on financial concerns. He underlined that professionals with similar bachelor degrees have different incomes and different livelihoods and said: “Find yourselves and do the jobs you love. Abundance and lack are all Allah’s will.”

Prof. Dr. ÇELİK made some general remarks on the career fields since 2500 BC, underlining that there has been a constant change in priority careers. With an emphasis on the GDP increases in global economy in parallel with the development of modern organizations, he stated that not only career choices but also choice of teachers, universities and cities for education do matter to survive in today’s environment of global competition.

The Rector also stressed that social domains and relations are vital for all professions and provided information about the services and amenities we offer to our students and our future plans as a university. The meeting ended with a Q&A session.
