The event themed “Natural Health with Prof. Dr. İbrahim Adnan Saraçoğlu”, organized in cooperation with senior students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Health Management, Health Management Student Club and Istanbul Medeniyet University Alumni and Members Association (IMUDER), was held on November 5, 2024 at the Cevizli Campus Conference Hall of our University.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Koçak, President of IMU Alumni and Members Association (IMUDER), academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Health Sciences and students attended the event.

The event started with the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Aygül Yanık, Head of the Department of Health Management. In her speech, Prof. Dr. Yanık mentioned the importance of protecting health and emphasized the necessity of consuming natural foods in order to maintain a healthy life. She also stated that natural products should be recognized correctly and how to consume them should be known. She stated that health managers should be careful and responsible for the supply, protection and safe consumption of natural products in health institutions.

After the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Adnan Saraçoğlu, a chemist and former Chief Advisor of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, started his seminar. Prof. Dr. Saraçoğlu emphasized that knowledge based on physics, chemistry and biology is of great importance for natural health in the future. In the light of the changing balances in the world, he stated that the challenges faced in terms of healthy nutrition are increasing. Referring to the fertility and value of our country's soils, he emphasized the critical role of domestic and national production in sustaining natural health. He also explained with examples how important fruits and vegetables are for natural health and their effects in treatments. At the end of the seminar, a Q&A session was held with the students and Prof. Saraçoğlu gave valuable advice on natural health.

The interactive event was beneficial as it underlined the importance of natural health and ensuring the sustainability of health.

At the end of the program, Prof. Dr. Aygül Yanık, Head of the Department of Health Management, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Koçak, President of Istanbul Medeniyet University Alumni and Members Association (IMUDER), presented Prof. Dr. İbrahim Adnan Saraçoğlu with a certificate of appreciation.
