The "Alumni Network: Career and Experience Sharing Forum," organized by Istanbul Medeniyet University's Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, was held on Friday, December 19, 2025, in the Red Hall of the Central Classroom Building with the aim of strengthening interaction between graduates and students and providing students with a guiding perspective on their career processes.
The program was attended by department alumni working in various fields in academia and the private sector, as well as faculty members of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics and a large number of students.
During the event, presentations were given by our graduates who graduated in different periods and are currently working in Türkiye and abroad. The presentations covered topics such as job search processes, graduate school applications, expectations in the sector, and challenges encountered in working life.
At the event, Ceyda Kılıç (Queen Mary University of London), Ezgi Selçuk (Universitat Jaume I), and Niran Özdemir (Technische Universität München), who are pursuing academic studies at leading European universities, shared their experiences regarding overseas graduate education processes and the international research environment. Aleyna Avcıoğlu (Senior Clinical Research Specialist), who continues her career in the private sector, shared information about drug development and the operational processes of clinical research, while Aslıhan Yasir (Project Manager) and Büşra Nur Çıtır (TÜBİTAK Candidate Researcher) shared their experiences gained in national and international research projects.
