As one of the most reputable institutions that evaluates higher education achievements globally, Times Higher Education (THE) has announced the results for its Asia University Rankings. In THE Asia University Rankings 2022, universities have been assessed across a total of 13 performance indicators in five areas including Teaching (the learning environment); Research (volume, income, and reputation); Citations (research influence); International Outlook (staff, students, and research); and Industry Income (knowledge transfer).
In the Citations category, Istanbul Medeniyet University scored 66 out of 100 and has been ranked the 1st among the public universities and 2nd among all universities listed from Turkey. IMU is ranked 201-250 in overall ranking, while it is ranked the 4th among all public universities and the 8th among all universities in Turkey.
In THE Asia University Rankings 2022, a total of 829 universities have been assessed globally, of which 616 has been listed, while 54 of the 66 universities assessed from Turkey has been listed in the rankings. As a regional academic performance mapping for the universities in Asia, THE Asia University Rankings uses the same 13 performance indicators as THE World University Rankings, but they are recalibrated to reflect the attributes of Asia’s institutions.
