Students of the Visual Communication Design Department of our university met with Sema Ateş, the Children's Publishing Editor of the International publishing house Nobel. The talk took place in the conference hall of IMU Ziraat Bank Library on October 7, 2022, in partnership with the Library and Documentation Department and the Art Design Society. Sema Ateş shared her professional experiences with our students and answered questions about children's book editing in the interview. In the event, to which our students showed great interest, in-service training was provided to the participants with the important issues and experiences conveyed by our guest, who is active in the profession. Welcoming the intense interest of the students, Head of Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doğan Arslan stated that thanks to such events, the motivation of the students towards the profession increased. On the occasion of this event, he emphasized that the “Tasarım Günleri” (Design Days) event, which is planned to take place in the following weeks of the term and aims to host many illustrators, designers, animators, directors and artists at our school, will make a significant contribution to students by connecting the department and the industry.
