2025-2026 ACADEMIC YEAR ISTANBUL MEDENİYET UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATIONS TO UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

Applications will be received from international student candidates to be admitted to the undergraduate programs specified in Tables 1, 2 and 3 of our University in the 2025-2026 academic year, in accordance with the calendar specified below.

To apply as a prospective student from abroad:

1. To be studying in the last year of high school or to be a high school graduate.
2. In order for the applicants to meet the requirement of being a student from abroad, they must meet the conditions specified in the principles of the Council of Higher Education regarding the admission of students from abroad.
3. Taking the TR-YÖS Exam and meeting the base score requirement for the relevant program
4. The applications of those who completed their high school education abroad as Distance Education will not be accepted. The registrations of those whose entries and exits abroad are detected by the General Directorate of Security during the Education Periods and who are found not to have completed their high school education abroad as formal education will be canceled.
5. Students who started secondary education in Turkey as of 2022-2023 academic year cannot apply for Foreign Student Admission.

Recruitment of students from abroad is carried out in accordance with the Istanbul Medeniyet University Directive on Application, Admission and Registration of International Student Candidates for Undergraduate Programs.

Applications will be made between June 30, 2025 - July 07, 2025 at the address:

Documents Required for Application:

The following documents must be scanned, converted to PDF and uploaded to the application system.

1. ID or passport (Mandatory)
2. Translation of the diploma or student certificate showing the educational status translated into Turkish by a notary sworn translator or Turkish Foreign Representative Offices. (Mandatory)
3. A photograph (approximately 4.5 cm x 6.0 cm in size) taken within the last six (6) months showing the face of the candidate in a way that the candidate can be easily recognized.(Mandatory)
4. TR-YÖS result certificate.(Mandatory)
5. GCE A Level Score result document (Mandatory) for those who will apply for the quota reserved for TRNC National candidates
6. For students who graduated from secondary education institutions in Turkey, a document showing the date of enrollment in the secondary education institution.
7. Foreign Language Proficiency Certificate (Students applying to departments whose medium of instruction is English/Spanish/Arabic are required to upload this document to the application system.) (Students applying to departments providing English and Arabic education must upload a foreign language proficiency certificate at B2 level and above, and students applying to the department providing Spanish education must upload a foreign language proficiency certificate at B1 level and above.) (Candidates applying to the Department of Islamic Sciences who have studied their secondary education in Arabic language and document it will upload this document.)

In addition to these documents, the Turkish Proficiency Certificate obtained from the Turkish Language Teaching Centers of universities or Yunus Emre Institute within the last two (2) years, if any, can be uploaded to the system. Students who have the right to enroll in Turkish Programs must study Turkish Preparatory Education if they do not have a Turkish Proficiency Certificate.

Achievement score:  

For Tables 1 and 2, evaluation will be made according to TR-YÖS results.

For Table 3, evaluation will be made according to GCE A Level Scores.

2025-2026 ACADEMIC YEAR TUITION FEES FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

After the "Decision on the determination of the contributions and tuition fees to be taken as student contribution to the current service costs in Higher Education Institutions in the 2025-2026 Academic Year" is published in the Official Gazette by the Presidency, it will be calculated as 2 (two) times the current service cost of the faculties.

NOTES :

1 - The total tuition fee will be divided into two, fall and spring.

2- Students enrolled in our university from the quota of foreign students will be charged tuition fees regardless of country.

3- Students applying to the Faculty of Medicine are required to select only the group suitable for their nationality from the 5 groups that appear on the application screen. If you select the wrong group, your application will not be considered.

4- In accordance with the Turkish Citizenship Law, candidates who are Turkish citizens by birth but have lost Turkish citizenship by obtaining permission to renounce Turkish citizenship from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, candidates who certify that they have a blue card issued to those who have lost Turkish citizenship upon request, and candidates who have received their high school education abroad (except TRNC), and candidates with dual nationality, one of whose nationality is Turkish citizenship, will not exceed 10% of the quota of the programs mentioned in the enrollment to the Teaching and Medicine programs.

Application results will be announced to the candidates on our University website and the website of the Registrar's Office.

Matters to be Considered in Application

1. For applications with Nationality/Country requirement, only the application of the candidate belonging to that Nationality/Country will be evaluated. If you apply to the wrong group, your application will be invalidated. The responsibility belongs to you.
2. If you apply with false, incomplete or forged documents, your application will be invalidated. Make sure that the documents you upload are correct and complete.
3. You must write a valid phone and e-mail address in the contact section.
