ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATIONS TO THE FACULTY OF THEOLOGY, GERMAN THEOLOGY PROGRAM, FOR THE 2025-2026 ACADEMIC YEAR AT ISTANBUL MEDENIYET UNIVERSITY
Applications will be accepted from international student candidates for admission to the undergraduate German Theology Program at the Faculty of Theology of our university for the 2025-2026 academic year, in accordance with the calendar specified below.

Requirements for International Student Applications

Applicants must be in the final year of high school or be a high school graduate.

To qualify as an international student applicant, candidates must meet the conditions stated in the Council of Higher Education’s Guidelines for Admission of International Students.

Applications of candidates who have completed their high school education via distance education abroad will not be accepted. Registrations of those who are determined by the General Directorate of Security not to have attended formal education abroad during their education period will be canceled.

Students who started secondary education in Turkey as of the 2022-2023 academic year are not eligible to apply for international student admission.

Required Documents for Application
The following documents must be scanned and uploaded to the online application system in PDF format:

Identity card or passport (Required)

Diploma or student certificate translated into Turkish by a notary sworn translator or Turkish foreign representatives. (Required)

Document showing the Abitur grade (Required)

A recent photograph clearly showing the candidate's face, taken within the last six (6) months (approx. 4.5 cm x 6.0 cm) (Required)

Document showing the registration date of students who graduated from secondary education institutions in Turkey

Success Score Calculation for Theology (German)
50% Oral Interview Score + 50% Abitur Diploma Score
Oral Interview Exam:

For candidates residing in Istanbul: August 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM, conducted in person at Classroom B215, Block B Lecture Building

For candidates residing outside Istanbul: August 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM, conducted online (link and further details will be announced on the Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Theology website)
2025-2026 ACADEMIC YEAR TUITION FEES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The total tuition fee will be divided into two semesters: fall and spring.

Tuition fees will be charged to all students registered through the international student quota, regardless of country of origin.
